Dr. Michael Howland

Dr. Howland has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2022 as an Emergency Veterinarian, as well as working part-time as a Relief DVM at Mt Diablo since 2023.  He attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed his clinical year at Purdue University. 

Dr. Howland loves the diversity veterinary medicine has to offer; but most of all, he loves being able to relieve the pain and improve the lives of these four-legged family members. His special interests include emergencies, preventative care, and zoonotic diseases. Dr. Howland believes strongly in preventative medicine and being proactive in his patients' health.

The newest addition to the Mt. Diablo team, Dr. Howland is looking forward to forming lasting relationships with his patients and the people who love them. When he’s not working, he loves spending time with his partner and their dogs! They enjoy traveling, painting and cooking.
